Had the Saturday "chicken and rice" dinner, with hash brown casserole and salad. Good salad and casserole, but noticed a headache on the way home. My first thought was "MSG". Called them and sure enough there's MSG in the dish, paid $11.00 for a headache. Third star is only because the waitress was very attentive to our needs. If you're sensitive to MSG you may want to go somewhere else.
Gets very busy and can be a long wait depending on how many people (we were 6, 2 Kids under 4 included) BUT the service we got was wonderful. The waiter was very patient and answered our questions and checked up on us regularly. The food was REALLY good. I recommend the pancakes.
I love this Cracker Barrel. It's always busy. Always. It has a good selection of gifts in the front of course. Food is always good and the service is great. Parking is horrible, so be prepared to take a while finding a spot.
I like the breakfast items and flavors. Their chicken is great. Beef and pork are not good. The checking out process is confusing. The area is crowded with the store stuff and people do not know where to stand in line for the next available cashier. A sign or some guidance would be nice. The server could be the cashier or tables could have electronic devices where customers could pay. Make the store bigger and do not fill it up with stuff, so people have space to line up to pay and walk around actually looking at things.
This place just a great place for any meal. We had great service from Joyce last night. The restaurant is extremely clean. The food was very comforting as well. I haven't visited Cracker Barrel and this was a nice reintroduction.
