Used to get fantastic care. Now can't get an appointment with the doctor for sometimes six months. Then each 15 minute appointment is filled 3 deep. Sometimes can't see primary care doctor at all. New doctors are rude and condescending. Some of the newer doctors have openly bad-mouthed doctors that they've replaced. I even had a nurse practitioner try to change my service connected diagnosis of the doctor she was a surrogate for. She never even examined me just read my file.
You serve your country with the promise of medical care when you get out only to learn through disappointment after disappointment that the VA medical system is flawed on every level. If you have any sort of problem, be prepared to do most of the work in solving it yourself, even if it was somebody that works for the VAs mistake. As with most things Federal, tax dollars well wasted!
Very good hospital but they need more Drs. Too many patients and not enough Doctors. Wait time is very very long
Don't even call the patient advocate they're useless!!!!!!! I was told they don't intervene on medication matters. If your doctor is gone for the appointment that you've had scheduled for 6 months, and scheduled by your doctor you might as well forget seeing them or any other doctor for about a year!!!
There always seem to be attitude given by receptionist. God forbid someone enjoys their job and is willing to help.
I was very impressed with my visit at the hospital. Very helpful and friendly staff. This was my first visit to Nuclear Medicine (PET). My two caregivers were a joy. Took my mind off my situation. I felt relaxed. The male had one heck of a delightful humor and also professional. Thanks team.
