Dr. Dominique Davenport in the spinal chord injury (SCI) unit is probably the most incompetent if not downright reckless physician I’ve ever met. She’s so busy trying to be a comedian, she can’t be the professional with people’s lives in her hands that she’s paid to be. And for the record, I don’t have a problem with a doctor bringing a little humor to their work, but when you’re so busy trying to be funny that you can’t be direct and straightforward with the patient about your decisions, then that is a serious problem. And she was only direct and upfront with me (thorough her staff btw) only after she let me run around like a chicken with my head cut off blaming the pharmacy for several weeks when it was her holding up things all along. She wasn’t even direct with her own staff for Christ sake until I went to patient advocacy. On top of that she’s very crass and borderline sexist.

I would not go anywhere else.they are great

Piss-poor service. Both primary care doctors I've been assigned to here act like they don't give a da--. And the eye specialist said there is nothing wrong with my eyes when my far-sighted vision clearly continues to be blurry. Guess it's time to either go to another VA facility or go to a private doctor for the first time in 20 years.

I've been waiting over 4 years to get into a ptsd therapy treatment besides just giving me medication. I've lost my wife, daughter, house and car. Currently in Atlanta ga admitted myself to a psychological clinic on my own insurance. I've called the temple location several times when I was having mental breakdowns and they wouldn't even let me do a walk in.

You do NOT, I repeat, you do NOT want this woman as your primary care or spinal chord injury physician. Only problem is, if you’re in Central Texas and need specialized care from a VA SCI unit, she’s the sole physician at Temples SCI/D unit!!! So, looks like I’ll have to travel 2 ½-3 hours to either Dallas or San Antonio to get SCI treatment because I refuse to let her treat me. I wouldn’t let her treat my worst enemy.

This is a great VA if you have Veteran Family members or you a Veteran yourself. I would recommend at least giving it a try. Everyservice in a knew place is not top of the line Iam picky and I will give it a nine. We are all Human and need some suggestions.
