My original post was about how nice the receptionist was on the phone! It made me more comfortable to go to such a personal appt.
Mexico to see her, and since my parents are there, I will wait to see her if at all possible instead of going where I live. Dr. Giebel herself is one of the most attentive and personable Dr's I have ever had, and after 13 surgeries I should know.
This woman SAVED MY LIFE!!! It had been 2 years of specialists, tests, drugs being thrown at me (I'm not joking) until I went to Dr. Giebel. It was the end of my appt when she asked if anything else was going on so... I jokingly told her everything was ok except the usual choking feeling that would be fine if I was into that sort of thing (my attempt at humor for a condition I seemed to be doomed with). She responded with "That doesn't sound right, let me take a look"... then she did what nobody had done and actually felt my throat and said "oh, your thyroid is too big". It turns out my body was attacking my thyroid and causing it to enlarge! I got to the correct specialist just in time because my body was so out of wack adrenal/cortisol/etc that I could have gone into shock, seizure or a coma at any time. Because of doctor Giebel I no longer have pain or take the medications doctors had thrown at me (pills, inhaler, nasal spray). When I had my first appointment I think I heard a woman in the office say she sometimes runs late with appts because she is sincere with her care. I think God she took her time to talk to me and I still can't believe she solved my health problem!!!
I could have not asked for a better experience. Dr.Giebel and her staff are wonderful!
